Home again...
I had some yummy spinach, mushroom and feta pizza Friday night (I remembered it from my last trip.).
Saturday started off quite rainy, so I was very happy I went to the museum on Friday. When I was there I saw a rather large group having an egg hunt, I'm sure they were glad they went then too! Most of my weekend was spent visiting with my grandmothers and my dad's family.
We took a group shot with my cousins... Our old picture is sitting on the table in the second picture!
The rain stopped just in time for some for some burgers to be grilled for dinner. Later I enjoyed the quiet when everyone went out and watched an old BBC show called "Neverwhere."
This morning I was back on the road after some delicious homemade waffles with my dad. On the way out I listened to some Firefly/Serenity podcasts. But this morning I needed a bit more of a pick me up (an engine tune up for those who use the Alert Program), so I enjoyed a variety music that had a good beat. I also occupied myself by looking at out of state plates. A lot of people were traveling from Ohio. Also saw ones from Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, Georgia, New York & New Jersey. Some of them were flying too! Due to the amount of cop cars I saw at the beginning of the drive, I was surprised I didn't see more along the way. (I was waiting for some of the drivers to get pulled over!) In the first half hour of my trip I saw 5 cop cars... then only 3 more for the next 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Not that I was worried (and no, this isn't my conscious talking -- my dad asked when I commented about the cop cars), I wasn't driving crazy. I just maintained my speed & didn't make any pit stops so I could make it here in time for dinner (lunch) with Keith's family.
Now I'm stuffed. Stuffed and sleepy. Not only did I enjoy the tasty delight of the Shoo Fly pie I brought home with me, I also indulged in some sour cherry pie. (Keith's mom made 3 pies for today -- sour cherry, lemon meringue & chocolate pudding... so talented!)
If you haven't already done so, don't forget to check out the Peep Show before it goes away.

I can find something to be pleased about...
I didn't need to turn the lights on to make my breakfast!
Morning sunlight... ahh...

Meal Plan Proposal
Keith came across a web-site called e-Mealz. For $15 for 3 months, they give you (for example) 5 meal plans (dinners) & a grocery list once a week. Grocery list, not that much of a selling point for me. Meal ideas, yeah, maybe. There's just something in me that screams. I've got so (sooooo) many cookbooks & recipes in this house. Plus there's the limitless ones available online. But the fact that it's already in black & white...
I don't know.
So here's my proposal...
What if we, online just share dinner plan ideas together.
Inspire one another. Provide new recipes.
Answer the neverending question... "What's for dinner?"
Any takers?

Hmm. What's been going on in my life...
Well, I've enjoyed the nice weather. I actually worked in the garden (specifically part of the garden) Thursday night for 1 1/2 hours. Then enjoyed a delicious birthday meal next door. Top it off with quite possibly the (not "the" but "thee") best cheesecake ever -- cherry cheesecake with a chocolate crumb crust & chocolate layer on top!
I added a few new blooms to the sidebar...
Sunday I made my way to the garden again. This time spent 3 1/2 to 4 hours out there (different section). Later that night I discovered they were calling for 2 inches of snow.
Yeah. Joy. Poor delicate plants I just uncovered.
We didn't get as much snow as they were calling for. But it sure was cold! (In the 20s this morning -- much different than the 60s on Sunday.) The daffodils look quite sad... their heads are all hanging downward... :(
