My week in a nutshell...

Loving the warm spring weather.
Hating winter weather 2 days later (snow flurries included).
Hot chocolate topped with whipped cream.
Dark Angel marathons.


Being an older show, I enjoyed recognizing actors on Dark Angel that you find on other shows now. Particularly guest actors. After all, most people would recognize Jessica Alba just for being famous in general.
-Logan... I've seen him on previews for one of the NCIS shows, but he also showed up on one of the Charmed episodes.

News Alert, Part 2

Yesterday I was the optimist: The problem was the dead batteries. (Keith on the other hand thought it was the camera... And he thinks I'm pesimistic!) Well, this morning the freshly charged batteries actually turned the camera on. WooHoo! With that, I could give you my proof of Spring's arrival!

Colorful speckles of yellow, white, and purple tell me spring is on the way.

Ahh, sigh of relief!

It's a shame the snow drops are so tiny... Their true beauty can only be admired from below.

Look who I disturbed. Thrilling. (The other one was still hiding behind the trees.)

This is where they have taken up residence. Any idea how to evict them?

News Alert, Part 1

FYI: I give *raspberries* to winter!

I have documented the beginning of spring. Hense the end of winter is upon us!

Unfortunately I can't show proof of it. Not right now anyway.

I took pictures, then my camera batteries died. I tried replacing them with 2 sets of extra rechargables... however neither turned the camera on. Without camera power, I can't upload the photos to the computer. (I'm going to be optimistic & assume the batteries aren't charged. There is nothing wrong with my camera!) So I took more with Keith's camera. But I can't find his cable to connect to the computer...

But trust me, I have proof. I will share it when I can.

Energy Vampires: Fact vs Fiction
Here are questions I pose to you...
Are light timers energy savers? (IE to turn on/off lights for specified times vs turning them on manually for unknown time frames)
Do chargers draw electricity if they're not plugged into the device to be charged? (IE cell phone chargers)
How about printers, do they draw power when turned off? (No little lights glowing such as with a DVD player)

Did everybody remember to turn their clocks ahead?
I've already decided I don't like the lack of natural light early in the morning.
That was the one bit of boost out of my "I hate winter" blahs during my morning routine.

FYI...
We did make it to Pittsburgh yesterday. Much later start than originally called for. (12:45pm) But hey, we made it to the Home & Garden show. Didn't do anything else there though. So I guess it worked out that we left late.

But now it's Sunday again. I don't like Sundays anymore... all I can think about is having to get up tomorrow for work. In the dark.

Outing

For Keith's birthday weekend he requested we go to Pittsburgh for the home show. According to his schedule, our ETD (Estimated Time of Departure... not to be confused with "Estimated Time of Death" from Dead Like Me) was at 10am. Which was 45 minutes ago (and counting). An hour ago I asked him if he was getting up so we could leave at 10... To which he replied, "let me be a bum." Ok, it's your trip.
Early on it was a pretty productive morning for me... With the intention of leaving at 10am, I managed to use the Wii Fitness Coach for a half hour, the treadmill for a half hour, ran 2 loads of wash, scrubbed the shower & loaded the dishwasher. All with that 10am deadline. Since 10am has passed my productivity has declined... I'm reluctant to do more laundry since I don't know when the shower will be occupied (water conflict).
I have managed to watch another Dead Like Me episode though.
Perhaps I'll go sweep & mop the kitchen floor... won't that be fun.
