We're Ba-ack

We came home Tuesday night around 6:30.
After going through the pile of mail (only to find a large sum of bills!) & vacuuming away the massive amounts of cat hair, we visited with our house sitters & had some dinner around 8pm. I attempted to unload the photos off of the cameras -- it took forever! By then it was time to get ready for bed. I tried to post at least this much, but the internet was not cooperating...
At this point, I am still going through the pictures, trying to sort them and such. I will try to have pictures & stories up this weekend. (AKA not now.)

Get Lost

You thought that was rude, didn't you?
Well, it's not.
(So there.)

I started & finished my unofficial Get Lost marathon. Started with season one about two weekends ago. Had a lot of time to catch up on Tuesday when I was home sick. (I was already on the sofa for the day, so why not.) Then I got Keith caught up in it. :) HeHeHe We finished Getting Lost last night. Now we'll just be waiting... Patiently, I don't know. Waiting nonetheless.

Season 4 -- TVs everywhere, January 31st

Less than 10 days to go

The countdown has already begun (upper part of sidebar).

Less than 10 days til we depart from this cold & dreary climate

for happy days filled with sunshine and Disney magic.

This time of the year, the local temperatures are around

the upper 30s (high) & a low of 20 degrees.

(Although we have had some unseasonably warm days lately.)

What we have to look forward to...

mid-70s during the day & a 50 degree temperature at night.

(No camping with wool caps on this year!)

Come Out Come Out Wherever You Are...

Ok, I'm on a mission. I'm trying to find a long lost friend from high school.
First name Holli. Last name, well I don't know actually.
Last I saw her, she was living in W. Lawn, working for our old high school as a teacher (I think). But that was around the time of our 5 year reunion. (Few years ago.)
She sent me a holiday card signed Holli, Brian & Gracie (why I'm not certain of her last name).
The envelope was postmarked from "Southeastern PA 193..."
Anybody know her, or know how to find out more?

I've tried previous e-mail addresses (just bounces back to me).
Random searches that end up saying they have info. for me, just need to pay 'X' amount of money to get the info. (Including criminal records.)

Oh, did I forget to mention... She didn't write down a return address.
Yea.

Any ideas?

let me welcome you to 2008!

A big thank you to those who helped us ring in the New Year last night/this morning! We were a bit nervous with the change in our normal routine, but it turned out to be a most joyous event.

Slowly people began to arrive around 9pm -- after traveling from out of town, the babysitters' arrival, and finishing up at the wedding reception (Best wishes Mandy & Nate! ;) Hope you didn't mind our early departure.). We didn't have all that were invited, but to make up for it we ended up with a few who aren't normally around.

And we never even got to play our new Apples to Apples game. (It was even purchased for last evening specifically. Admittedly we already played it a few times this past month, but that was just to make sure it was fun -- it is!) Between Wii Land (aka living room), grazing in the Tree Room (formally known as the dinning room), keeping Bear away from the food (both cat & people) & socializing in the kitchen... I guess we were just to busy enjoying ourselves to think about it! :)

I don't know why, but I didn't start taking pictures until after midnight...
