Sailor's Delight

After I spent the day unpacking, unloading my camera, going through photos (vacation & vw bug pics), e-mailing said photos, etcetera etcetera I had a fun filled evening out. I met Sonya downtown to see her hubby's band play.
While there I discovered a new favorite drink: chocolate martini. Yum!

After that I drove to do a little shopping & drop off work paperwork. (It felt good to be behind the wheel. I haven't driven my car since last Thursday!)

Now I'm e-mailing more photos (band ones from tonight), still trying to e-mail the videos that don't exceed the maximum size to KC, create slideshows as well as a playlist for my vacation post and post this. (I'm amazed my computer hasn't acted out yet.)

While I was out I had my camera & took a few photos.

Pink sky at night...
Do you see what I see?
(I see a dog.)

Still working on the vacation post. Hopefully I'll finish this weekend!

Arrived

I'm here! (That's all you get.)

Ok, not really. I made it safe & sound yesterday afternoon. It's been 10 years since I flew by myself (to visit my bestest bud when she lived in Florida), so I was a bit nervous. Not a lot, but enough to keep thinking, "I've just followed the crowd (aka Keith's family) the last few times..." But I made it.

^_^ Let the fun begin.

3rd of July

My photographer has posted our 3rd of July pictures!
WooHoo!

*FYI*

These images are of a reduced quality. If you'd like a higher quality print, you'll need to leave a comment regarding the photo #(s) you would like. I will have access when I'm in NC. (Need to know before I return home on the 30th.)

Sorry had to ditch the firework slideshow. Didn't like hearing them today (I didn't realize they made noise until today!).

Backyard Blooms

Here are the planters I put together back in June. (They looked better then... I tend to forget to water them.)

VW Bug

The progress photos are in progress.
We just got photos from Keith's cousin & I haven't had a chance to scan them yet...
I'm preoccupied with getting things together for my trip.
I did mention booking flights, right?
Yep-ers I'm going to sunny & (hopefully not too) warm NC to visit my bestest bud!
It's almost time!!!

Backyard Pests

They come in all shapes and sizes...
The neighborhood cats like to occupy our back yard & patio -- tormenting my cats who are watching out the sliding door. We've had cat fights though the glass, elopement of my cat & fighting amoungst my cats as a result of their presence.

You'd think with them here the little furry critters who dig up my bulbs would be gone. But no, they're still here too.

(Can you see it?... no?)

(How about now?)
And don't forget the deer. Just scared one off yesterday. They particularly like to eat my daylily & purplecone flowers.

One month!

Really? It's been a month since my last post already? ("Yes," nods my mom...) So what on earth has been going on since then?!?!
July Pictures, Images and Photos
Um... uh... paid some bills, booked my flight to sunny North Carolina, worked, celebrated the 4th of July on the 3rd, and oh yeah, the VW bug has finally been put back together again!

Unfortunately it is too late for me to try to upload pictures at the moment. (I did get them unloaded from the camera & Keith's phone though.) Photos to come, I promise!

Fat Cat

Last night we almost became a single cat household...
The cats will "fight" with animals outside that pass by the outside door. They do this by attacking the door. One time I thought someone was aggressively knocking on the glass. Other times we hear a loud bang & discover the screen door lying outside. Last night we heard a bang, however the door was still hanging. Not perfectly, but still attached. When running into the kitchen I also discovered a puddle running out from under the frig. Nothing pertinent to the door situation, but it was a distraction. So I'm taking care of the puddle, while Keith's taking care of the door.
... Fast forward a few hours. ...
"Um, where's Mulder?"
I guess the screen swung "closed" after he made his way out, cause he was nowhere to be found. Keith walked around calling him. He was ready to call it a night but decided to stay out for a few more minutes & finally discovered Mulder under the neighbors rhododendron.
Needless to say, we're still a two cat household.
Bad Kitty!
