Autism Walk

I want to voice one more big THANK YOU via my blog...
C&WB, MbS, R&MW, KT, D&G, MK, E4, HR, HNI, BG
Thank you for supporting Autism Research when you sponsered me in the Autism Walk this weekend. It was a chilly day (it was in the 40s when we left), but the sun peaked out & you were able to enjoy the brisk weather. That & all the t-shirts helped! (I had on a tank top, my shirt, an Autism Walk t-shirt, my Team's t-shirt, then my sweat shirt! It was a bit windy!!) I'm guessing there were at least 250 people there. Our team was the largest (50 registered) & we raised the second highest amount (as far as I can tell from online, never did hear the totals raised...) We reached our goal & that's what counts. It was a slow start with everyone filing in, registering, trying to warm up with coffee... but we made it! There was just one thing I didn't get-- you're under a roof that is very loud & echos, why does the music have to be so loud. So many kids (& adults) were overwhelmed already, add sensory overload to that -- not a good idea. Oh well, we seeked calmness in the seats out in the open. (It worked!) They had a two man band playing out in the open -- very good volume wise & talent wise. (I wish I knew who they were, I'd recommend them anytime!) I was hoping they would have posted all the teams photographs online for me to share... but our team is no where to be seen. They do have some photos available through a slideshow, so check them out (it won't take long)! Thanks again to those mysterious initials above! :) (If you want to identify yourself in a comment, go for it!)

plants... not holes

I'm tired of looking at critter holes... (How about you?)
So I think I'll post a variety of plant & flower pictures to take my mind off of it.

Welcome

Just want to welcome little AJS into the world. He was born 6-02-06 at 6:26.
:)

Wonderland

This is quite possibly the happiest dog I've ever seen.
I just caught Bear in the midst of my candytuft. (It now has a bald spot.)

But he's too big to fit down the rabbit hole.

Perhaps he should find a bottle with a "Drink Me" label...

Walk F.A.R. for NAAR

Well it's exactly one week until the NAAR Walk. I've sent out my final donation requests (in case you got one, you know what I'm talking about & if you didn't, let me know & I'll send it!). I'm so close to my goal -- as it says on the right, thus far I've raised $130 for autism research. Who knows, it could be you who helps me reach my personal goal of $150! (It's so easy to do, just click on the link for the walk.) Together, my team has raised over $2,000 & I think that is fabulous. Ever bit donated, large or small, has helped get us there. :)

Holes

Well, the rabbit holes have continued & gotten worse -- momma rabbit has invited the chippies to join in the fun. So next year, I very well may not have any more tulips, crocus (tricolor, giant & regular), bicolored grape hyacinths, or checkered lilies. (Those are simply the areas I recognize, who knows what else was down there.)
